Framework

A New Framework for the Platform for Planet, People & Peace (P4PPP)

The new platform has been expanded to contribute to the digital transformation required to respond at speed and scale to existential threats including pandemics, disasters and planetary emergencies, and to enable flourishing communities as part of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The updated framework seamlessly blends functionality with profound symbolism. Symbolised by a Lotus flower, it embodies growth, resilience, and interconnectedness.

At its core lies the Planet, surrounded by Peace and People, symbolising a harmonious relationship among individuals, communities, and the environment. This aims to cultivate a more peaceful, healthy, and secure planet.

Surrounding the core, we have the protective petals, which act as enablers: Prevention, Protection, Provision, and Promotion. These enablers ensure the harmony and well-being of the core.

The outer petals, represent the drivers: Governance, Knowledge, Capacity, and Advocacy. These drivers guide and support the enablers, creating a robust and dynamic framework

This detailed framework illustrates how the surrounding petals protect the core through the drivers of Governance, Knowledge, Capacity, and Advocacy, enabled by Prevention, Protection, Provision, and Promotion

Original P4PPP Framework

The new framework built upon the digital platform for planet, place & people launched in 2020.

The Commonwealth Centre for Digital Health in collaboration with partners established a digital Platform for Planet, Place and People (P4PPP) to create an accessible Digital Hub for Universal Health Services for the People and Planet – including climate change and environmental challenges, by applying a flexible multi-sector systems approach within different Places as part of a global common good.

It provided a range of open-access digital tools covering the key components of existing Public Health and Health Systems frameworks, including;
